Twin Rocks Winery

Where Our Wines Begin

Twin Rocks Estate Winery lies along the Placer Wine Trail in the Sierra Foothills AVA, a region that lays claim to a strong winemaking heritage beginning in the early days of the California Gold Rush. Along with those seeking fortune in gold, European winemakers immigrated here, eager to cultivate vineyards in the challenging, yet robust terroir

Throughout the Twin Rocks Estate property, large standing granite stones have a guarding presence, causing the casual wanderer to stop and take note. These monoliths frame the vineyard landscape, protruding up and among the native oaks. Seeing potential in the geography of these rock studded hills of Placer County, Twin Rocks Estate Winery chose this property to not only produce premium wines, but also to create a destination winery a place for gathering, rejuvenating, celebrating and discovering.

Twin Rocks Estate Winery is a place for connecting with family, friends, neighbors and yourself. Its a place for both peaceful contemplation and spirited celebration, all while enjoying fantastic wine; a good-for-the-soul getaway at the gateway to the Sierras.

Twin Rocks Estate Winery creates fine wines on par with wines from the great regions of the world. The estates soil is perfect for cultivating varietals such as Grenache Noir, Barbera, Muscat, and Grenache Blanc; unique offerings compared to other wine regions of Northern California. Because of the perfect Mediterranean climate and well-draining soil, the estate can dry-farm which allows for less water usage during irrigation. This sustainable farming practice is a trusted technique for producing high-quality fruit and wines with complex, intense flavors. Just as unique as our property strewn with granite rocks, so is the experience we offer our friends and family.
